Education knows no boundaries, and the SEA-Teacher (Southeast Asian Teacher Project) is a testament to that. This program, initiated by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), provides a unique opportunity for pre-service teachers across Southeast Asia to gain international teaching experience. Through this initiative, student teachers are placed in schools in different ASEAN countries, allowing them to observe, teach, and adapt to diverse educational settings while embracing new cultures.

CLSU

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) is one of the leading public higher education institutions in the Philippines, located in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Established in 1907 as an agricultural school, CLSU has evolved into a comprehensive university offering a wide range of academic programs. It is widely recognized for its research contributions in agriculture, particularly in aquaculture, water management, and crop science. In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees, CLSU also provides diploma and certificate programs.

1.1 Purposes of Practicum

The primary purpose of my practicum was to bridge the gap between theory and practice in a dynamic, science-focused educational setting. I aimed to develop effective teaching strategies, enhance my classroom management skills, and gain firsthand experience in engaging students through innovative lesson delivery. Overall, the practicum met my needs by providing ample opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in a real classroom, allowing me to grow both as an educator and a lifelong learner.

My name is Nisa, a 6th-semester Biology Education student at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Ever since I started my journey in education, I have been passionate about exploring innovative teaching methods and understanding different educational systems. That’s why joining the SEA Teacher Pilot Project Batch 4 is an incredible opportunity for me to broaden my perspective and gain hands-on teaching experience in an international setting.
